These images are from my trip to Chopta and Sari in Uttaranchal with some friends. We trekked from Chopta at about 2500 mts to the Tunganath temple at 3500 mts and then to the Chandrashila Peak at about 4000 mts. All in a day's trek it was crazy, scary and a lot of natural fun with good friends and a firang who forever raced away to the peak leaving us to wonder how can he do it so well?

Sari is another village nearby which has a lake on the other side of the mountain top with a view to some of the several beautiful peaks on the Himalayas.

At ISBT Kashmere gate...restlessness taking over Early morning at around 5 a.m. at the holy land of Hardwar
The confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda...first for me A landslide on the way to Chopta...again a first for me
This is all that Chopta is...really tiny and beautiful some of those winding portions of stoney path to Tunganath
